Choosing an attar is easier when you start with where you will wear it. We have picked ten attars from our range for men and grouped them by occasion. For the office

Amber Oud Attar (from ₹149). Despite the name, this one is more amber and wood than oud. Bergamot, lemon and cedar open it, spices and guaiac wood sit in the middle, and amber, musk and resins carry it through the day. It is warm but clean enough for work.

Vetiver Super Attar (from ₹149). Black pepper, fig and grapefruit over cedar, rose, patchouli and vetiver. Dry, green and grown-up.

Hina Attar (from ₹149). Bergamot and magnolia over henna, jasmine and rose, on a sandalwood base. Hina is a traditional cold-weather attar with a warm, earthy glow.

Jannat al Firdaus Attar (from ₹149). Neroli and peach, then cinnamon, jasmine and rose, over oud, amber, leather, musk and sandalwood. A rich, rounded attar for cold evenings.

How to wear a men’s attar
