Choosing an attar

Start with the family you enjoy. Woody, amber and oud attars are the deepest and longest-wearing; floral attars built on rose, jasmine or mogra are softer and suit daytime; fresh citrus and green attars are the lightest and best in the heat. Sizes and how much you need

Most of our attars come in 3ml, 6ml, 12ml and 24ml, and a 3ml bottle starts from ₹99. Because an attar is concentrated oil, a single dab at each wrist and the neck is enough, so even 3ml lasts for weeks of regular wear. A small size is the best way to learn how an attar behaves on your own skin before buying more.

Wearing and storing attar

Apply to clean, moisturised pulse points and do not rub. A touch on cotton clothing lasts even longer, though oil can mark silk. Keep bottles cool, dark and tightly closed, and they will keep for a long time.
