About French Attars

French structure, oil form

These attars follow the layered structure of French perfumery, a bright opening, a floral or spiced heart and a base of woods, musk or amber, but in concentrated, alcohol-free oil. The difference from a spray is in how they unfold: more quietly, closer to the skin and over a longer time.

Who they suit

French attars are a good choice if you like the style of a modern designer-inspired perfume but want it to last longer, or find alcohol-based sprays dry your skin. They also travel well: a 3ml or 6ml bottle takes almost no space in a bag.

Choosing a family

Fresh citrus and aquatic attars suit daytime and hot weather; floral and fruity ones are versatile; woody, amber and gourmand ones are richer and better for evenings. Fragrance families explained covers each in detail.
